Hey friend, I have been very busy !!  not working outside of home is alot of work. !!  I have "redone" my bedroom windows..took down the cornices, just to small of a room for them..so, I will post pics of new window treatments soon...making tiebacks now.

I have also started making pillows...and will be selling them in my friends booth in Statham..

That "weird" room that we hangout in ....I painted all the trim and the bookshelves, we had to get another TV...lightening came through those windows and struck the big monster TV we had...which is really a blessing...that tv was "oldschool" big...I really like the painted trim/bookshelves, lightens up the room alot....

 It has been a while, flew the nest for a little while, but, I have been bizzy, bizzy !! Had some family emergency stuff to deal with but I am back to work on the nest.....I am putting up some before and after photos..

Oh ! I have also learned how to make window treatments...pretty proud...I researched the price of getting some "made" and realized I could do this....so....they are not perfect by any means but they were fun to make and I am proud....tee hee.

Room #2  Front room of house..has front door, door to screened porch, 2 french doors that are in the garage going into dining room, 1 door going into bedroom. I have NO clue what to do to this room, the only time we are in it is to go to the screened porch..I have lots of nature stuff, bird stuff, botanicals..etc. somehow I would like to use my antiques, desk, yellow antique couch..etc. and the french doors back up

ok fellow nesters, I need some ideas....i am overwhelmed with what to do to 2 rooms in my home..

Room #1..Living room..TV room..where we hang out...Hate all of the "wood paneling", BUT, hubbie usually doesnt say anything about what I do in the house. BUT, he has asked that I dont paint ALL of the wood...so, the book shelves def need to be painted..water damage..just dont know what color...this room is VERY dark.  We will be getting a new TV to go over the fireplace, so that is taken care of. talked about painting 1/2 way up walls, with chair rail? and sheetrock on bottom??? HELP !! I have a love/hate relationship with this room

Hey fellow nesters, sorry its been a while...this carpel tunnel stuff is for the birds. But , I know that God has a way of slowing me down when I dont even know I need too !! I've been contemplating my yard/garden situation...the front of this house needs HELP !! I hung my window boxes, got a few plants, but there is NO walk way to the front door...I wish I could take off that front room somehow and make a porch out of it...but that is lots of $$, so, for right now I have a empty front room with a awsome screen (needs work), off the side. I did get a new side door all glass panes and painted it RED !! Thats my rebellious streak...something needed to pop !!  That door was easy to paint it had plastic on the panes...NICE...

I do not know what to do with that front room......it is driving me crazy....!!!

I am crazy...I have SO MUCH other stuff I could be doing.  I have a "room" that is jammed with tubs !! But, thats not what I want to do !!  I am a spoiled brat....oh well.  (as my mother would say)

Nothing changes if nothing changes....ugh

I decided to have some artistic (if thats what you wanna call it) Fun yesterday last nite (all This is the process of plaster ,my friend Lisa taught me.  The camera I have is not good. need a new one., anyway, no more pink walls, and I am still not finished with the windows, but I've got a start.....whatcha think? much prettier in person...I thought my bed turned out well was a turqoisy black..ugh..

Had a wonderful lunch with some awsome women, came home and realized I have been blessed with dogwoods, wisteria and all across the back yard will be blooming azaleas in a day or two...I havent had to do a thing in the yard....thank you God... its hard to see the wisteria couldnt get it all in one shot, tried..now back inside to that bedroom   I will post pics later of it finished..yellow...love it..

OK enough for now, my "resting" is over....if I can get my fingers working I need to get busy.....ta ta...

Just some of the "goodies" we have found so far.......

Love my vintage stove, except, see my waisted cabinet and 1 of 2 drawers...because of washer/dryer in kitchen...this stove works great..all the little storage drawers....I was really suprised it is electric.buttons on top...

This is Michael (a GOD send), he is my "other" husband...dont be ugly, you know what I mean. I pulled the old frig away from the wall, it was not working, to paint behind it, about 11:30pm, unknown to me the ancient icemaker was hooked up.....water started showering across the kitchen, I sat down on the floor behind the frig...pinched off the pipe, looked around and went, oh shit, now what do I do.....no phone in reach....saw a 5 gallon paint bucket, ran for it, sat it on the pipe. called, you guessed it....MICHAEL to the rescue......he came and went under the kitchen sink and turned it off and just looked at me and said, who hooks up a icemaker to the kitchen sink???...OMG.....it is real funny now, but if it hadnt been for him, I would of been holding a pinched off pipe til the next morning......seriously...WE LOVE MICHAEL.....I can even tolerate his heavy metal music, well, sometimes...

This is where the washer/dryer is supposed to go...before plumbers arrived...oh, we will be moving them out of the kitchen at a later date, right now they are just fine where they are.....at least I dont let laundry pile up in the kitchen..ha

 

Rick on his 3 days home, we moved, and I had him pulling shoe mold...I know he cannot wait to get back home.....ha....

As usual, I just wrote a whole paragraph and it disapeared???  Nothing unusual around here, lately.

Ok, back on line, whoo hoo, except nothing is getting done...rainy day, lazy and my hands hurt....no wonder...

It is now quiet around here, no more plumbers butts, sorry Alton, you are awesome..the 6 guys, 5 trucks in the yard, HVAC, 1guy working, 5 talking about it, or asking me what am I going to do with the "Stuff" under the house...I am like, well, sorry, but it is mine.....my goodies....I feel like I am in American Pickers..I have had fun finding stuff .  Junk to some folks, but gold to me...I will post pics..later.

Now, heres some info, some folk already know, not me !!  If you dont know what kind of paint was used in a house, always, always, use the Kilz oil based.  I have learned after  2-3 coats of reg kilz, paint, peeling, uh, OIL BASED KILZ.

I did learn a new trick, buy WD 40 by the case....the gentleman at Home Depot, where I now live my life, and getting to know the workers on a first name basis. Which I drop $$ everytime I go....WD40 would of taken the "blackstuff" off of my floors much easier than what I did...scrubbbbbb,WD is petroleum based..and takes   s..t off (sorry mama), anything....good to know if i every wanna scrape a floor again...NOT>.....yeah, I was told this after the fact.










 

Ok, its been quite the week, new HVAC system, new plumbing, still some "tweeking" to do with the plumbing, the house is a shamble....ugh, painted kitchen, paint wont stick, duh, latex over oil doesnt work, I guess I was too tired and didnt even think about it., was just trying to cover up nastiness....ha, also it was about 3 am when I was doing this.....no wonder.  Anyway, I do not have internet service at the house, cant understand why a small town like Monroe, takes over a week to get a appointment for internet, cable, phone.....oh well, makes me get "stuff" done.....Wilson and Jacz (4 legged babies) or 3 and 4 legged, are still looking at me with that "when are we going home look".....I will post again when I can.....and send pics.

Today I found out we have no water pressure because of some part between the meter and the house, let the digging begin...

"ditto", have to have a new hot water heater.........next, these "feathers" are already adding up....oh well, its just money, right? off to work I go...high ho, high ho......

OH Boy !  let the fun begin !!
